harbor freight pin pointer 15 bucks

I broke down and got the garrett pin pointer today BUT

I will say this......for the 15 bucks spent on the pinpointer at harbor freight for my recent pointer, you CAN NOT go wrong there if you are on a budget. If anyone gets one...go to Lowes and get a drill holder for your belt and use it for the harbor freight pin pointer.......works like a champ. I highly suggest this for 15 bucks. Im gonna miss that sucker a little bit. then again maybe I wont now that I have the garrett.

Just wanted to give that pointer a plug from harbor freight.

Hi 909, I have used one for years now and keep one on hand just in case it quits. I have had 3 Garrett's Pro pointers, and they are good but it interfered with my MXT, So i sold them and keep going to the H.B.F. pinpointer. I see on the the bay that people bid up to $30.00 on them, what, do they not know you can get them at H.F. for 15.00,, and if it quits they will replace it. I like mine. Flintstone

Rats...and I was at Harbor Freight just the other day looking at one...nearly bought it and now kicking myself in the hind quarters for passing it up.

Someday I'll get the Pro Pointer but until then my "cheapy" HF works well enough for me. For the money they are "hard to beat".

It was my first pinpointer. You had to actually TOUCH the target to get
a response. Now that I got the pro pointer I would NEVER go back to HF.
I gave mine away to a guy up in Canada. I suspect he'' eventually get
a better pin pointer someday.

Ive had my harbor freight pointer now for awhile and it works way better than ppl think. The switch went out on mine so I just soldered a on/off flip switch on there and it still works like a champ. But the pro-pointer is next on my list of investments

GARRETT ACE 350
HARBOR FREIGHT PIN-POINTER LOL

Andrew you can super tune the Garrett Pro Pointer so that it will find the target even further away. Use a dime or a penny and place it over the on/off switch. Move the coin forward until the pointer starts to beep. Then slide the coin rearward until it quits beeping. Place the tip of the pointer away from the target and make sure that It does not been. If it does slide the coin rearward just a teeny bit more. Then you can see if you can find your target. I do that frequently on those targets that i have trouble pinpoint with my detector. It makes find the target easier and you can do so without digging a large plug. Great Little machine. I do not leave home without it.
