I use the c&j program without any modifications but I don't get depth. The deepest I found a thing is not more than 2 or 3 inches. Soil gives in ground probe a 93 vdi with signal strength not that high i think in every frequency from 1 to 10%. I would be happy if I have some suggestions. I don't get depth even when I raise rx gain, discrimination. Thanks.

It could be that your found targets were not deeper than the 2-3 inches deep. How deep can you detect a planted coin in the ground?

OK, as Larry asked what is the deepest coin you can bury and then detect?

Soil gives in ground probe a 93 vdi with signal strength not that high i think in every frequency from 1 to 10%. I don't understand this. 93 VDI is no big thing it's pretty normal. What's the 1 to 10%, is this ground probe?

Rob I meant the ground strength it is from 1 to 10% in every frequency. But Larry, ok, I will try for sure in my next day off from work doing that because since lately I am working too hard and hunting rare and with my new detector v3i I had not chance yet to practice with. I will certainly let you know what did I do by next weekend.

OK, numbers seem good. I'm waiting to see how deep you can see a buried coin.

You never know. On our hunting trip we found a spot where the V3i, Deus, and Minelab SE detectors couldn't find a 6" dime. That's some bad ground. :stars:
