Thank God for Thanksgiving Day

Thank God for Thanksgiving Day; A special occasion-
For many to gather together with their relation;
Giving a prayer of thanks for what God has done,
By sending forth to earth His only begotten Son,

Whom He loves the same as we love our family,
To Whom we give all praise by coming from glory;
And gave His own life in the place of sinners,
For in His wonderful, forgiving grace we're winners,

By running the race to heaven without failing,
With Jesus we win the prize by our truly availing,
In staying with Him and keep on going forward,
On His straight and narrow road leading toward,

God's golden realm in the joyous strength of Jesus,
Whose Holy Spirit fills and empowers each of us,
Who believe in and serve our Savior and Lord,
To reap the benefits of an everlasting life's reward,

For He's the way, the truth and the life to be,
Entering new Jerusalem City and to live eternally,
So, let us not stray onto satan's broad road,
Nor heed temptations, for sinning makes a heavy load,

But when giving burdens to Jesus, His yoke is light,
By leaning on Him in the deep darkness of night,
He'll hold our hand and take us on through,
Where His sunshine of love renews me and you;

For no one loves us like our blessed Savior does,
Who came that we might be saved and He was-
Crucified, after beaten severely with our many stripes;
So, from our sad, weeping eyes He lovingly wipes-

All tears away, while protecting and providing with care,
The Children of God, for He is always there,
Meeting our needs with clothing, food and more,
By His love given us from His merciful store;

His provisions for each of us are of many varieties,
Like Pumpkin Pies for Thanksgiving in the societies,
Continually thanking Him with glory and praise,
As our voices of gratitude to Jesus we raise,

For His healing virtue and miracles He's provided,
To those who ask and seek and haven't denied-
Him, as the One and Only beloved of God,
And the Savior of lost souls, as we daily trod,

Where He leads us and we willingly follow after,
Giving us joy unspeakable we're filled with laughter,
On this Thanksgiving Day, as we partake of food,
Fit for King's Children, for our Lord God is good,

Providing Turkey and Dressing on the dining table,
Along with lots of food, for our Father is able,
To bless His own with His riches on high;
So, give Him thanks for Thanksgiving Day is nigh!

Amen!

Thankyou Ma,lovely words that remind us what is important,not only at this time of year but at any time.I wish I could express myself like that in words but whenever i've tried I just seem to hit a brick wall.
All the best to everyone,neil.

Very nice indeed. Hope you have a wonderful day today

Thank you, Neil, but God gives us each a gift or gifts and talents, so you are gifted artistically in making things out of rocks by your loving His nature and we all can't do the same thing or it would be a dull world but the Word of God does say to pray for the gifts you desire to use for Him, so maybe through prayer He will allow you to write poetry and stories pertaining to all that Jesus has done for us and will do but just be thankful in whatever He has given you after the saving of our souls by His mercy in forgiving your sins and mine! Sometimes I can't go to sleep for giving me words for poems which I don't get up and write down any more like I used to do....just need more sleep since I have become ill and have Osteoarthritis! May God Bless! :angel: Ma

Thank you, Bill, as we could never give God enough thanks and praise for all He has done for us to be with Jesus some-glad-day! Amen! :angel: Ma

That's beautiful, Ma. Thanks for sharing.

You are welcome, Lisa! I hope you and yours have a very blessed and Happy Thanksgiving Day with lots of goodies to eat...this is one time we can stuff ourselves with stuffed turkey and dressing and Pumpkin Pie and all kinds of good foods to be filled with! ;) :) ;angel: Ma

thankful to God this day that my heart surgery is in the past (one week today). I was so sick at the time, it's kind of hard to believe it's all behind me and so far all seems well. I'm still real sore but that is to be expected I suppose. Somehow (no one seemed to know how it happened) they burned a place on my back about the size of a 50 cent piece. I had a big ole blister and now it is real sore. I thought I was going to have to go to the doctor with it but today, I believe that it also is on the mend. God is good all the time.

Very beautiful poem Ma, thank you very much for sharing. Many Blessings to you.
