Ditto on the happy new year Luca. Awesome loot pile dude! Looks like you had a fantastic season, hope '06 is as good to ya!

Hello,

I use a tumbler first. Then I rinse them with a solution of salt , water and winegar to have them shine as you see in the picture. Then wash again with clear water and dry.
Here in Italy you can have the clear plastic wrappers for free at local banks. It helps you count and keep coins ordered. Local shops and banks do not question much if you offer coin change in plastic wrappers since they are used to obtain it in the same way directly from banks!

I include some pictures of the process...

Cheers

Lucaridarelli, I am deeply impressed ! So much loot and, no doubt, even more FUN !

Luca, You have some nice finds:super:, I think I found around 800 euros this past year, most of it went to pay the 10 euro ferry fees to get back and forth to Sardinia and gas:cry:. I'm not certain on how many rings I found this year I need to get them out and count. Hope you have a great new year!

Hello my friend,

it is about 850 euros. I had few expenses due to the fact that I can use a bicycle to reach the beach. It is just 2 minutes away from my girlfriend's home.
I found about 70 rings total, 17 of them gold rings, two with diamonds.
It's been a ferociuos search; I counted at least 50 people searching the whole summer in my area and at least 15 of them in the water. It's been a chess like game in the 2km sand beach strip in my area.
I had to get organized with area maps and a MD mate to face a very heavy competition; they come down in groups af 4 or 5 people and search wide areas in a few hours.
I'm now working on equipment and training myself to work on the "edge" of the maximum capabilities of my pulse detector since almost everyone here use Excaliburs that do not go as deep as my pulse md does.
I'm expecting a worst 2006 summer from the competition point of view.
There is also the danger that local Coast Guard could prohibit MDs for the summer as it happened in some Tuscany towns in 2005.

Well.. there is been a LOT of work behind that believe me, but it's been also a LOT of fun!!

Cheers
