Happy New Year everyone.

I am new to the forum and new to the hobby. My lovely wife gave me an elite 2200 for Christmas. I'm still getting used to what the machine is telling me but I am finding some clad in the local tot lot. I think I am hooked though. We already have a Bounty Hunter Jr. ordered and on it's way for my 7 year old son, so he can come and hunt "treasure" with papa.

I have been thinking already about getting a harbor freight pinpointer, and got a 25% off coupon from them in my email yesterday. The coupon is good for 25% any one item in store today (1/1/11) only. In case anyone wants to head out to Harbor Freight today here is the link to the coupon.

Thanks to everyone who posts here and makes this a great resource for all of us "noobs".

You will also need a digging tool. I have the Elite 2200 and a HF PP and I use the Ames trowel.

I got mine at Lowes for about $10.

Have fun. The Elite 2200 is a coin finding machine indeed.
