Huntress and I arose at 330A for the 703A -1.4L. We were in the water by 530A. The temp was around low 40s when we began, so I wore the drysuit today. Surf temp is holding around 66. You yanks probably wear shorts in that kinda weather huh? Huntress took the lane and I headed for the mine with my buoys. Was hunting a little shallower than yesterday, as the waves were pounding into the surf early. Huntress got some action shots of me in the mine today. I'll post them separately, as I am not savvy beyond 6 photos.

Anyway, clad count was up over yesterday too at $5.28.

The 1st ring to show was the 417(10K) woman's ring w/"A". Gave Huntress a whoop! She kinda gave me the glare. The next ticket was the 14K w/rose woman's ring. Then later in the morning the 14K men's ring w/ruby colored stone.

I've been looking for a ruby for a birthstone ring, but it has a chip on 1 corner. I think it to be synthetic anyway, as it is quite flawless in clarity. Guess I need 1 of those VA Beach Mike and David of Suffolk special gem testin' rigs. Then came the little nugget chain ring. It was all black and nasty, I figured it might be silver. Huntress got to cleanin' on it and low and behold it looks gold! What a surprise! Upon further investigation with the loupe, we discovered that it was plated. It was quite unique, so she took a separate pic of it.

We left around 1130A. Good luck to all the pirates in 2007! GREAT DAY AND I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT 2007!

The mine is pretty rough for a camera, but Huntress saved the day!

do u have? How dos it fell? I was thinking to buy one.... too expensive..

alex, go to nrs@nrsweb.com. It is a kayaking drysuit, much cheaper than diving model. Freedom of movement is excellent and I did not break the bank. The suit is the Kokatat Tropos Swift Entry and runs $362. I also ordered the Wavelite Union suit for underneath at $80 and some Hydroskin socks for $27. Total to the door-$471.95. I like it all! Merry Christmas to me, ya know?

nice finds gf, i went out yesterday but couldn't hunt in the mine because i was afraid of soaking my machine. i was hoping the water would be calmer so i could get out there. ihunted the shallow water where all the trash got washed down from higher up on the beach wasn't doing any good so i thought i would get the diver out hoping i was wrong about that machine, but i wasn't, that machine just can't handle the galveston beaches, so i just went home discussded. i may go next weekend if the wind is right. if not i'll just wait untill i get my aquasearch back. hh

Willia, put it up on e-bay and sell it. Got around $350 for mine and U can buy an Excal for backup to Aquasearch. You never know, you may like it better. It's so nice to never be fooled by bobby pins and nails. Sometimes 1 will get buy you and that wastes time in the hunt. Where we usually hunt together, it's not much of a factor though. See you soon Willia. When the A2 due back? GH

Sweet finds Gulf Hunter! The other good thing about 66 degree water temperature is the sharks aren't there, 5:30 AM is feeding time for them in the warmer months.
Are you hunting in pin point mode? I see some iron type trash in your nut. GL & HH for 2007.
