Huntress and I arose at 330A for the 703A -1.4L. We were in the water by 530A. The temp was around low 40s when we began, so I wore the drysuit today. Surf temp is holding around 66. You yanks probably wear shorts in that kinda weather huh? Huntress took the lane and I headed for the mine with my buoys. Was hunting a little shallower than yesterday, as the waves were pounding into the surf early. Huntress got some action shots of me in the mine today. I'll post them separately, as I am not savvy beyond 6 photos.

Anyway, clad count was up over yesterday too at $5.28.

The 1st ring to show was the 417(10K) woman's ring w/"A". Gave Huntress a whoop! She kinda gave me the glare. The next ticket was the 14K w/rose woman's ring. Then later in the morning the 14K men's ring w/ruby colored stone.

I've been looking for a ruby for a birthstone ring, but it has a chip on 1 corner. I think it to be synthetic anyway, as it is quite flawless in clarity. Guess I need 1 of those VA Beach Mike and David of Suffolk special gem testin' rigs. Then came the little nugget chain ring. It was all black and nasty, I figured it might be silver. Huntress got to cleanin' on it and low and behold it looks gold! What a surprise! Upon further investigation with the loupe, we discovered that it was plated. It was quite unique, so she took a separate pic of it.

We left around 1130A. Good luck to all the pirates in 2007! GREAT DAY AND I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT 2007!
