Another unseasonably warm day in January = Operation Etrac Coin Rescue

What a privilege it is to be able to get out in northeast Ohio mid January and hunt in 50 degree weather....Craaazzzzy!! But...I'm lovin' it!!

We decided to detect at an old park that has most likely been hunted to death but we figured that we would give it a shot anyway. Within the first hour of our hunt, I rescued a sweet little old 1908 Barber dime about 6" deep. That's so atypical of me. I ususally don't find anything good until we're about to quit. It was nice of Mr. Barber to give us some hope of more to come. A little later in the same vicinity, I found the 1924 Merc and 1911 wheat. These are some pretty old coins and I was super happy to find these guys.

I would say it was a great day!! I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the weekend....I know our temps are dropping 20 degrees or so and very windy. Be safe and warm!!

HH Everyone!!

Congrats on some very nice finds - love the Barber ! :clapping:

And yes, the very warm weather here in Ohio has been has been a welcome break from Winter - gave some of us the chance to get out on a few hunts !

Great finds! Very nice coins! Love Barber dime and I dont find one yet! Found 1943 Mercury dime and 1942 wheat yesterday but the ground is hard from frozen!

NICE!!! I'm behind everyone this year. It seems like you all have your first silvers already. I haven't been out detecting at all.

Nice looking rescue Betty! Thanks for the picture.

Nice finds! Glad you got some nice weather for a few days.

The ETrac finds what others miss. I found a 52D quarter the other day in a hard hunted area.

Please quit sending the cold down here to South Carolina. We are topping out around 40 for the next several days!

I hope you get some more warm weather so you can have some HH and we can warm back up!

It is always great to hunt in the winter here in NY...We also are getting more snow and cold (13 degrees with a windchill of -2 as I type)...
