Happy New Year All!!
The small amount of snow we got on New Year's day was just about totally gone on the 2nd, so I ran over to my favorite seated park for a couple of hours, and it delivered again.
Hunting in an area that I have hit many times previously, it seemed the combination of previously frozen and now thawed ground, and the wetness from the melted snow was getting the real deep targets to stand out. In the two hours I was there, I came out of that area with an VF 1875-CC (MM under wreath) Seated dime, 1916 (No D, Damn!) and 1942 (No Overdate- Damn again!) Mercury dimes, a No date Buffalo nickel, 1888, 1894 & 1907 Indians, a religious medallion and a gold plated little league pin. Oh yeah, 5 wheats too.
Not a bad haul for such a short time in such a hunted out area!
Hope the rest of the year goes as well.
HH All,
Jeff
