Happy Dance!!!! My First Old Coin

I have had my T2 for a month as of today. My previous best after 20 hours of hunting was a 1965 dime. Today would be different. I went on a two hour hunt and within in the first 10 minutes I found a 1901 Indian Head penny. Then in next 15 minutes I completed the coin cycle with a Quarter-1980, Dime-2001, and a Nickel-1988. After that little run, I did not find anything over the next hour and half.

My T2 setting was: Sens. 60, Disc. 55, Boost Mode, and +5 added to the automatic GC.

Congratulations. That's an excellent find.

Thanks everybody for the kind words. My personal goal is to find 1k coins this year, and let the chips fall where they may. But, it is really cool to get an old coin that will be tough to beat for awhile. I realize that the T2 is not quite a beginner detector, but all of the good information on this forum helped get me to a productive stage quickly.

Thanks again,

Brian
