As promised, here is the picture that I told ya'll I would post. John truly has been a turkey hunter from way back when...
The back of the picture reads:

...even though it was hollow, it still weighed EIGHT POUNDS! A small price to pay before the foam and plastic ones finally became commercially available.
But, when you are a dyed-in-the-wool, 24 K turkey hunter, eight pounds is not such a high price. Then again, I was 26 years younger too!
