Hand warmers

Ashmeads Kernel

Do any members use hand warmers? I see various types online, and I presume most people would use warmers when out walking, but how practical are they carrying spade in one hand, and a metal detector in the other.

Thanks

Andrew

In S.E. Ga. never had a need but one time on a hunt up North my detector kept cutting off. Temp. was in the low 20's with high winds. John in Edmunton suggests strapping a hand type chemical warmer to the top of the detector. Never had a chance to try it but it makes sense.

No problem carrying a digger and detector when hand warmers are needed. I use the brand "HOTHANDS" which are a thin pad that I stick inside the palm of each glove. They last several hours. And as Elton mentioned, they make them for your feet, too. Un-fortunately, I will need to be using them this weekend. HH jim tn
