Hand grip cover

Was wondering if any of yous cover your hand grip with anything. One muddy days I will wrap a plastic around the hand grip and I also wrap a bag around the upper part of the shaft the area that I grab when I waive the detector like a pinpointer. It isn't pretty but when I get home I just take off the bags and the grip and rod is nice and clean. I have bought a couple detectors over the years that had some kind of wrap over the hand grip foam, I never took it off to check it out so I am not sure what it is or where a person could get it. Beside keeping the foam grip clean it made the grip more comfortable to hold. I have a new to me Tejon coming and I want to keep it pretty.

Hi Ski,

Tennis racket tape works for me, got mine at wally world in the sports section.

Thanks Randy, I will look for it when I go into town again.

I wrap mine in Clingwrap. I keep it on for weeks.
Good idea Bill, just don't let your wife catch ya getting in her stuff or you know where you will be .

On my tesoros I would use equine or vet wrap to keep the handle protected. Word to the wise though, don't buy red wrap as when it stretches and wears it turns kinda pink. I was, of course, just showing my breast cancer support colors.

Don't know if it will be tight enough but on my recurve bow i use bike innertube, don't see why that shouldn't work. The tennis racket tape should work pretty good also and you'll probably be able to get it on tighter.

I also wrap my grip with a baggie. Than I use electrical tape on the top and bottom to hold it in place. Works good for me. The lower pole where I grab to use as a pin pointer, It is water proof. I gust wash it off when I come home... KEN
