hand digger question ............

What digger on a longer handle is best for using. Need something suggested that isn't like a shovel.( Wide ) ...but is still longer in the handle area.......Pics would be appreciated ..

I modified one out of a post hole digger blade, welded a short and smaller diameter handle on it, works great for fields and woods, great steel in post hole digger blades.

I never cared for that digger when I used it as it was hard to push into the ground around here. In soft ground I think it would be OK and find the Lesche digging knife works the best for this purpose of our black dirt. For a longer handle digger for Fields and such I find the Lesche Samson works real good and I am sure Predator tool makes one like it too.

Something about the width of a Hand held Lesch digger blade with a longer handle .. 25 or 30" long handle.... very narrow digger blade .........

You have to wiggle it when digging hard ground. Plus it's not real sharp when you get it. Putting a razor edge on it makes a world of difference.
