Hampton Beach, NH

8 hours in the lane in 2 days both at negative low tides and and hunting was pathetic. $2.00 in total clad and found a 10" broken piece of 14K white gold neckelace. Hampton Beach had more trash on it than I have ever seen. People surely pay no respect to the beach and its beauty. Darn shame.

until or unless a storm rips some sand out of there. I've been going to a few other beaches nearby - since there isn't much swimming now the finds are getting scarcer, but I'm still finding enough to be happy on the way home.

I'm thoroughly disgusted by the sheer bulk of "garbage" at Hampton Beach as well. When I say junk, I don't mean lead sinkers, bottle caps etc..., I mean beer bottles, empty bags of chips, shoes, every imagineable thing made of plastic up to and including lounge chairs, empty condom wrappers, many many many aluminum cans etc... BEACHUNTER hit it on the head I think the other day when he mentioned to me that it's typically a "kids" beach and with the boardwalk so close to the beach, I'm sure many of them go out there at night and "party."

I had good luck there during the summer, but for now I plan to go other places unless a good storm comes by, and even then I might go elsewhere.
