Half Dime!!!!!!!:clapping:

Well-known member
Soo i took the SEF to a local "HUNTED OUT PARK" There is alot of trash in the area!!! The Coil Separates AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its a real KEEPER!!!! The I got a broken signal.. Wasn't deep... I have pulled Indian out of the area before.. And that's what i actually thought that was what it was going to be before digging.. I opened up about a 6 inch deep hole and put the probe in!!!!! And nothing!!!! i poke the probe around on the outside of the hole and beep beep.. i was like oh prolly a Zinc penny,,, When i saw a Small Small silver coin laying on top of the ground... I about fell over!!! I grabbed it and read HALF DIME on the back.... I couldn't believe it... My second Half Dime out of Richmond Indiana.... The back is beautiful., But the front is a mess.... But it's still a keeper coin for me:thumbup: The very first thing i did, was call JUSTDIGIT to tell about my find!!!! The only problem is some one put a hole through my coin!!! :veryangry: I hate that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well thanks for looking everyone!!!

Wow! Nice find. I've never found one of those! That SEF coil seems pretty nice to find such a small coin in trash like that. Those half dimes are tiny aren't they?

Nice find Derrell, wait a minute, you SUCK!! Last time I plant a coin for you!!:heh: If anybody wants to go to a super trashy, fill dirt infested, watch over your back, frustrating, and all around CRAP Park and watch someone pull as many nice coins as Derrell has then its worth the price to see!! Seriously, to pull those coins from there takes alot of patience and determination!! I'm jealous of that great find!! Really a shame she has a hole and her front isn't as sweet as the reverse side!! Still a nice find!!

Thanks again jack!!!!!!!!
Yeah i hate how some jerk hurt her like that lol Like your bust half you found... about makes you cry!!!! And thanks again for the nice words ,,, and all the help you gave me on setting up my detector to!!!!
Thanks
Derrell

Yep...I am learning the In's & outs..practice, practice, and more practice..even if just air testing helps immensely

Keep it up Darrelld and you will get into Andy's next book. I got in about an hours hunt today in a worked out small beach area, well thats what the guy running the Fisher machine told me. I still managed to pull 3 or 4 wheats and a handfull of clad.... oh and a tiffiny neckless right out from under his nose. Im looking forward to doing some more hunting in Indiana in the spring. There are some old places around that have been hit hard there... but nothings ever hunted out if you want to spend some time slow swinging it. Good Luck...

Holed or not...a half dime is a half dime. Those are fun to find...and don't pop their tiny little heads up often. Nice find.

Great find. around here the earliest I would find coins is from the 1860's some day I am going to plan a trip to an area that I can find the good old ones like that.
