half cent

I found with my coin strike,a 1834 classic head half cent! It is in good shape and you can read liberty on the head band. Sorry I cant post any pictures. It was found in the woods at a local park. It is my first half cent ever!! I live in Ohio and go back again and again and it still produces. Don't give up on a so called hunted out place. Any how happy hunting!!

Treasuredog, unfortunately I don't find that old of coins in my part of the country. At least not many!! How long have you used the C$? I just recently got one and am bound and determined to find some older deeper coins in worked out areas. You have proven it does and every time I read something like this I get real excited.

Ive had mine,for about 5 years and in that time,Ive found a number of old coins. Any where from large cents,half cent, wheaties,indian heads,buffalo nickles,v nickles,silver rosies,barber dimes,mercury dimes,barber quarters,silver washingtons,walking liberty halves,and regular modern coins. Before that I owned a fisher cz 7 and found a 1867 shield nickle and 3 spanish 2 reales,1775,no date,and a 1782. I owned miscellaneous detectors for about 35 years but fisher has been my favorite! I also have found two peace dollars. The thing is don't give up! Keep on and the good stuff will come!! Don't be too serious and have fun.
