Half a Farthing.

This diddy little Half a Rose farthing surfaced today with the super sensative F75.

This is one of the smallest coins that we hve and bearing in mind that its a half shows what the detector can do.

It was only 8" down but when on the surface the uniprobe soon located it in the spoil.

I wonder if the new small coil would have located it.?Jerry.

This Half coin as pictured is only 1/2"x1/4" actual size.

Very impressive depth and very nice coin! What era, can you tell?
Congratulations!

8"s is all I can get out of it. Have not had a chance to dig in the dirt with the small coil, just this black sand beach . :D: :D: The F75 did get me a real nice 14 kt 1/2 kt Ladies Markee diamond ring with 5 diamonds on each side, My Sweetie is going to love this one. Down 8"s. I am over here in FL. on my black sand beach and again the F75 is working great in all metal. So did the small coil. It worked great in the wet salt water and on the wet salt sand beach. I just can't hunt on this black sand beach in Dis. due to all the black sand and small iron pieces that cause all my single freq. machines to hit a high target ID. My SE and GT don't have any problem in Dis. The F75 hunts better then any of my single freq. machines and really smokes them in All Metal. At deeper depths like past 6"s the ID drops off to lower numbers like dimes are about 40 to 44 for example but still it is above 0. All the good targets give a very nice smooth sweet ZIP ZIP in all metal. As far as the numbers on the iron pieces go they will pop 30 to 50 but each time they will jump up to high 80's and 90 numbers. On the real small pieces of iron you get the BADA and no ID numbers. Just depends how big the pieces of iron are. After you hunt with it for a while you can really tell the very small and larger iron pieces from the good targets. Again I will tell you guys that the small pieces of iron are giving a BADA sound and the larger pieces are giving a BAAAAAA tone. In the dirt though the tone on the iron is much different. I don't know if it is just pecular to this black sand salt water beach, the iron pieces, or what it is. Anyway I am having a ball over here this time. I brought my new GT and got one 14kt gold with it and 1 nice 22 gram 10 kt mans ring with a blue stone with my SE. I have dug piles of coins with all 3 of the machines this time also. :D: :D: Later Jerry AKA Tinfoil

Awesome! We were on holiday in London a couple of years ago and read a historical marker that told King Charles' story. Or, rather the end of his story. It was on the Thames side of the road between Trafalger Square and Westminster Abbey. I think the building may be a restaurant today. Great coin! Very impressive.
