Half a day hunt produces...

I had until noon to get out so I went back to a private res. that was a school house way back when. Ended up with three IH, a Barber dime and a foreign coin plus wheats. The lady owner took the foreign coin and an IH. Great fun to get out and find old stuff again.

Here is a picture of some silver I took from a park about two weeks ago. The silver clad half is sure pretty except for the slight gash.

WTG Robin.............:) Very nice finds and I'm sure there has to be some more old stuff in that yard. I would be back on my hands and knees begging to detect there again..........:) HH.

The woman actually told me to go ahead and detect anytime, even if she was not home! She also invited me in to see what the old school looked like - she had pictures of a big old two story brick thing. I had no idea. She also said that they had four cabins in the back that they use to rent out. No wonder the lot is so junky!

Last night I found two more IH, four wheats, a watch fob with a ship, and a few misc. junk jewelry items. The lady took the 1886 IH but I got to keep the 1874!

It was another fun hunt. HH - Robin

Congrat's on your finds and a good spot to detect at. I know a guy that buys or trades old coins for watch fobs so if you decide to part with it, PM me and I will give you the info.

Why some people are so nice while others leave little to be desired.
Do go back as it really has potential and that lady will end up with a nice collection of coins before you are finished...
