Had some luck on Friday the 13th...

It finally quit raining, sleeting and snowing. I had lined up permission on a corner lot that use to have a school house (back to 1860). I took the afternoon off and had a blast with the site all to myself. The owner stopped in to see how I was doing. Here is the treasure plus I found a junk ring and 18 wheat backs. The quarters are dated 1917 (v2) and 1920 (not sure on this one). The store card is cool but corroded, the other side has an Indian head with stars and date. Silver ring, pin is missing a cool attachment (what is the Michigan SS Association?). Definitely a fun afternoon digging.

You did great! Nice Standing Liberty Quarters. Don't find them very often. The Merc looks to be a F to EF Grade and it is an older one so congrats on that find as well. Don't find too many Older Silver Coins in that shape. About your Token. It is a Civil War Token made between 1861-1865 and has a Rarity of R4, which is Difficult to find (200-499) known. For those who cannot read this Token, it reads E. Townley / Hives & Bees / Mount Auburn / Cincinnati. It is made of Copper and has a Plain Edge. It is an Old Token but it isn't worth that much. In my book in VG it is worth $4, VF-$10, EF-$12, and Unc $25. I am sure that this Token has gained in value a few Dollars so I would hang onto it. Even though it isn't worth a small fortune, it is still a great piece of history and sure beats finding a Wheat Penny. Congrats on that Token find and Good Luck and HH on your next outing.

I just love tokens, as you say they are tiny pieces of history (usually more so than coins). This is the first time I have found a store card from OH. Usually they are from right here in MI or IN.
Take care and HH - BF

for Sunday School but not positive. And that's pretty neat to find a Cinn. store card in Michigan!
