Had some luck friday - 1858 Half Dime!

Mirage

New member
SWEET. Never expected it in the spot were were hunting

Great find there on that Half Dime!! Plus four silvers in one day is a great day for me. What is your approach to using Google Earth to find new detecting spots?

Anytime you can detect a spot that has Silver Quarters in it is a good spot in my book. Very nice Seated Half Dime. I have only found Canadian 5 Cent Nickels made out of silver and that are the same size but would love to find one of those GEMS. I wish you and your hunting partner continued success. I also would like to mention that Electrolysis might just take off that crud spot on the back of the Half Dime. Good Luck and HH.
