Had Fun Trying:

We got out detecting yesterday and I found a few targets. Two wheat cents, the token good for 5 cents in trade, the old faucet handle and a couple of quarters. The rest is from last weeks hunt. Not a lot, but I sure had fun trying. After taking the picture, I saw that I had a "No value" token in the quarters and it's from Great Bear Lodge in Rockford, IL. It's a amusement water park, etc. I would have much rather had the quarter. No silver and no real old coins. I think my oldest wheat cent was a 1950. In coin age, that's not old. Right Larry? ;) I tried to find out some info on the old token, but there was nothing on it when I googled it.
Hope others have enjoyed the weekend and HH, Nancy

Like it says in your signature it's all about fun right Nancy ? Way to practice what you preach. I think that silver token is really cool. You also seem to find a lot of fishing weights, I am completely stoked when I find them. I've found some really old ones that I'm keeping in my collection. FUN hunt, congrats !

Scott, If you like lead weights, you will love this one. I found it a few years back in our local park. Sorry the photo is so blurred. HH, Nancy

nice treasure. I love it when I find old tokens...usually more rare than most coins. You have found a nice token, and I hope that you will eventually find out some history pertaining to it. Thanks for sharing this story of your metal detecting hunt, most interesting and enjoyable. Kelley (Texas) :)

That's not a weight Nancy, that's an anchor.
