Where is "OUR" global warming this year? We have had snow for three days now. Enough....please! I decided to go out of Edmonton for a hunt today. I had a lot of luck with this place during the past, and I have hunted most of my snow-coin producing spots in Edmonton. Today I took the GTP 1350, as I haven't used it this year yet. Because of the large area I had to cover, I opted to use the the 10" x 14" DD coil.

Here is a photo of one of the hills I worked today. I like doing zig-zags on hills, alternating arms to swing my metal detector. It's great exercise. That portion of the hill took about 40 minutes to cover and got me some snow loot.

That snow quite often sticks to the coil and really weighs it down. I have in the past sprayed floor wax on the coil to help prevent the snow from sticking so much. But.....I didn't use any today. I did get a nice mixture of nickels, dimes, quarters and some loonies today, but no toonies. The overall total was 27 coins, which = $5.03.
After I got tuckered out, I took a break, and had no idea of what was about to happen. See the story below. I hope you never have to go through what I did today......
