Had a little luck...

I actually went out Saturday and secured permission on a home site and a bean filed for Sunday's hunt. It is nice to not spend the first hours trying to find a spot. Anyway, the home site was hunted before pretty good (I figure). I spent around four hours and dug the world's fair do-dad (yes, gouged by me, dang, blank on back), three wheats, an 1898 IH, a one-piece flower button, religious medallion and clad. It was fun but sLoW. I gave the IH and religious medallion to the owner.

The bean field was one of those that make you wonder. The old maps showed two spots on this corner that had structures. I guess I was on one of them since I found the 1866 IH, but there was no concentration of iron to be found. Maybe they moved the houses??

It was a perfect fall day for detecting.

That is a cool World's Fair medal! I'd love to find one like that. I hope you're able to go back there and find some more goodies. HH

Some that have stuff when there's nothing on the map and like you say, structures on the map but not much sounding off in the ground.
Good finds Robin!

Nice going DF.:clapping: Those world fair tokens are pretty cool. I got one a couple of years ago from the 1909 Alaska Yukon Expo. GL & HH on your next outing.

Congratulations on the IHP and cool token! One of the neat things about sites like that is you never know what is going to turn up. Thanks for posting.
