[attachment 215012 yankees.jpg] After lunch today I took a stroll around the Yankees Spring training facilities here in Tampa. They call it Steinbrenner field in honor of a great man that put a lot of money back into Tampa and the surrounding communities. Since everyone was getting ready for the next round of games, I had the entire place to myself so I took a few pics. to share. This is the Jumbotron/scoreboard out in Left center field.
[attachment 215013 yankees2.jpg] This picture was taken with my back against the fence in dead center field 408 feet away from home plate.
[attachment 215014 yankees3.jpg] As I was headed back toward the infield I spotted Hall of Famer Goose Gossage shooting a public service announcement for the Red Cross so I hung around and shot this quick photo hopeing to meet him later so I could get an autograph.

[attachment 215017 yankees5.jpg] He has a great signature......very easy to read with his Hall of Fame induction date. You wouldn't believe some of the signatures that I've gotten over the years. Some of them I have to put pieces of paper in the boxes with the ball because if you come back at a later date you'll have no idea who signed it. I'll try to get more pics as I go this week. Looks like I've got double headers through Friday.
