I Found 2---quarters 4-------- Penny's 1---------- dime 1------ corvette hot wheel and some lead. Question . I had a good hit on a dime and after digging nothing and then no signal . what happen ? Later Graw :yo:

I lose a signal now & then with my 250. I was told it may have been a mineral deposit that "disintegrated" once I dug & broke it up. Congrats on the finds!

Also depends on how you recover. I prefer to dig a small plug and then poke around in the hole for targets if they aren't in the plug I've removed. I have tossed coins up to a few feet away from me while waving the plug over the coil. I usually find them. Also check you recovery tool. I have had dozens of coins stick to mine if the ground is muddy. There is also the possibility that you pushed the target deeper into the earth when looking for it. It's happened to me more than once.

In my experience the rust signals usually are lower on the scale around nickel.

Bet you never thought that Ace 250 would earn you a classic American sports car, did you?

Thanks for the fix!

Chris

Keep digging those pull tabs and one will be a gold ring some day!

I've lost many signals while digging and found that if I dug a little deeper, I would bring up the target. Probably because the target changes position in the hole while being dug up.

Graw,
If you running in the coin mode and loose a signal after the hole is open. What that does is change the signal just enough to throw the target in a rejected range. This is due to changing the targets angle or disturbing the halo etc.. When that happens put your detector in the all metal mode and you'll get a beep. Or use an electronic pinpointer. This happens to me on most 22 caliber casings when I run the coin mode. That's why I mostly hunt in the relic mode.
