There seems to be nothing but nice folks in this hobby. Did'nt get a lot of pictures due to the periods of lousy weather we received. But I had a great time and met some great people. Finally got to meet Joel-Winnipeg this weekend. Joel...thanks for the coins and the conversation. There were roughly 50 people at this hunt, so considering that I did pretty well with finds. 17 presidential dollars, 2 silver quarters, 16 silver dimes and 8 Indian Head pennies. Plus other stuff won in raffles. I may have to go back next year...:detecting:

I always enjoy reading your posts Dave....its amazing how much great stuff you find also. Glad it went well this week.

Actually it was a seeded hunt, so I knew they were in the ground. Just had to find as many as possible before they were gone....There were some pro's out there so it did'nt take long.

Sounds like a blast MCDave WTG on your take!!:detecting:

I guess it was cherry picking in the sense that you knew they had buried silver dimes and quarters. Any good target signal was dug...but you only needed to dig the dime and quarter ones. They also had an Indian Head penny hunt, which included a number of buffalo nickel cache's. A presidential dollar hunt.. (There's your gold coins). A clad half-dollar hunt with 3-man teams...one person detected, another had the headphones on listening for signals, and the third person dug the target. That was a blast. There were 400 halves out there and we only found 12. That's how fast you had to be to get a lot of them. Last hunt of the weekend was another silver hunt with dimes, quarters and some silver halves scattered. Lots of fun and good people.
