Had a great morning of detecting....

Went to 2 school playgrounds and one small city park playground. Found over $5.80 (not counting the pennies - another 52 cents I think it was), a key, a combo keyring/pen light from the local community college, 2 kids rings (one was broken but strikes me as being an older 'prize' ring from something), a trigger from a toy gun, a pair of earrings still on the card they were mounted on, a token for "Iron Mike - Master Pitching Machine" (No Cash Value), a wire bracelet and the best find of all was a little frog I found in the middle of the wooded area which was part of the city park. (Park is like one square block including the playground and woods.

Here's some pics:

The big picture of all the finds:

The kid's rings and the frog. The ring with the red center is broken but found all the ring. The frog, though I couldn't find any markings looks and feels to be silver - heavy little guy. Sure would like to know his story how he got into the wooded area and got lost.

I know we usually find one earring - never its mate when we detect but who can say they not only got its mate but even the card they are mounted on?

Got this interesting token for some baseball pitching equipment
( http://www.baseballtips.com/ironmike.html ). Not sure how the token comes into play unless it operates on tokens. I see there is a link to contact the company that makes the Iron Mike Master Pitching Maxhine so will send an email and ask about the token - maybe they know who locally has the machine that uses this token.

Well that is about it. Like I say had a great day and am impressed with the little frog.

Hope everyone else had a great day today and you got a chance to get some dirt under your fingernails.

for you - a lotta bux for the time. Did you check the frog out with a magnifier ? Sometimes the stamp is very small. When something just looks like silver I go over it carefully. Steve in so az

Those are great finds!
God bless,
MM
