Went out with a buddy to three worked out sites yesterday and hit pretty good. Although I am the unofficial president of the "Let's see how many damaged George Washington Inaugural Buttons we can find club", I'm still happy to find one. This is the second GW button and both are damaged. The 1/2 Real was a nice surprise. A couple of buttons rounded out the hunt. My friend got lots of buttons and a 1734 George II, and a circa 1785-1788 Vermont copper. He was using his expII and me the DFX. HH

awsome!! coinnut, any old silver is always nice! that 1/2 reale is in pretty good shape! two bad about the G W button, at least it was identifiable, just wondering did you find both G W buttons in the same area?

Didn't even find them in the same state. (MA and CT). The first GW was a cuff size button with the eagle on it. It too was broken from being in a fire. So I'm going to try harder than ever to find a nice one. I belong to a club and have see 4 or 5 beautiful GW's come through the door within the last 3 months. I'll bring it to the next meeting, but I'm gearing up for some heavy ribbing!:wiggle: (all in good fun). HH
