Got permission at an 1800's farm house down the road from my house today. So my 10 year old daughter Shelby and I went down for a couple hours tonight. She is learning her new Garrett 300 that she won at our club hunt last weekend. Her first tone turned out to be 3 coins in one hole. A 1940s, 1944 wheats and a 1940 Canada penny. Then her only other coin was her first silver, a 1944 merc! I'm proud, she did very good! I did good too! I got 6 wheats 38, 53D, 48S, 19, 49D, and 44. I also got a merc, a 1918D in beautiful shape! I also got what I think is a smashed old sterling ring. I can read sterling on it, but not sure about the ring part? And one neat old item, an old pendant that has Egyptian stuff on both sides. It is the size of a large cent, and is copper, Boy did that get me excited for a bit! Got to hit that one again soon! i did dig one 1963 penny too!
