I did'nt even realize I had a 2nd Indian cent until I got home and tried cleaning them a bit.

Since you posted your finds on the Garrett's forum, one might think you found those with your 250 unless you said otherwise.

I posted it here because we are all friends. I did'nt think it mattered. I would never, nor have I ever been misleading to anyone. All they have to do is ask. I'm not in this hobby for the glory. And I don't appreciate being stalked by a moderator.

SORRY GUYS....I FOUND THESE WITH MY MINELAB EXPLORER !!

Yep, we are all friends for sure, that is why I think it matters what detector was used when cross posting.

That looks like an amazing site. If I found that many old coins one day, I'd go back, and back, and back.

Point taken, will remember that for future posts..:beers:

Andrew, it was this place. Was (obviously) a church at one time but it is now used for township meetings. While I was there yesterday, the caretaker showed up and pointed out that back when he was a kid (he has to be around 80) there was a spot where the church ladies would set up a tent and sell vegetables and homemade stuff once or twice a year. And that this area has never been filled with gravel. Once I moved to this area I picked up the Indian almost immediately. I could have spent another two hours there but decided that I should save the good pickings for another day.

It doesn't matter what you found them with, you found them ... and I'm glad you posted them!! I guess this means when I use my Excal 800 in the lake this summer I'll have to post my finds on the other forum? Anyway, great job & great finds!! HH!!

That's why I also visit other forums regularly. It's all metal detecting to me and if people feel they should be brand specific then they should. But that doesn't mean that you have to also. Anyone who has read your posts for any length of time can see you have multiple machines and if they care they can ask "Oh Dave, was that with your A or B detector?" Thanks for sharing your great finds and they are some very nice pix as well.

Thanks for the pics Dave. WTG on the coins. My best day was 6 wheats and one Merc. I know you are proud of your finds and I would be to. I remember when I joined this forum last year , you were allways posting your finds with the Ace and I got a lot of motivation out of all the forum post, threads. It allmost seems like you are tresspassing in the moderaters eyes, but I think you have an open mind and are trying to show with respect that you are neutral and love detecting. MINELAB FINDS ON A GARRETT FORUM OMG:rofl: Good luck

Thanks, and Larry made a good point. And it may seem as if I was claiming to have used my Ace since I posted here. And just the night before I had posted the same finds at the Minelab forum. He called me on it, and I respect that.

Nice finds McDave. Did you find both those IH pennies in one hole? I found a 1905 IH penny as well the other day...but there was only one of them!

Johnny...they were in separate holes. They were so disfigured from the soil that I did'nt know I had two until I got home.

Some of you are blowing this out of proportion, I don't have quarrels with Dave and those of you who know him may know he found them with his SE and that is fine. I enjoy seeing finds as much as the next guy too . I was thinking of a new person who might be considering a Garrett purchase and saw Dave's finds, not knowing, he/she would think he found them with his 250. A lot of detectors are sold by what finds people post and I thought his post was misleading in that respect.

Great finds Dave and thanks for the info you gave me yesterday I found my first gold ring today after 5 hours at a park at the lake
I found the small 10k nugget ring in my back yard. I would post a picture if I knew how.
Joe
PS. I don't care which detector you were using

Joe, that is awesome !! Glad I could help. I think I may need to spend some quality time with my trusty Ace.
