Hey all, got out for a few hours and was pleasantly surprised by a good day. I hunted an old church yard that had a date of 1874. I found nothing newer than a 1954 wheatie. I'm assuming someone had been there and removed most of the newer coins because all the coins were at least 4" deep. It was great hunting and every coin I dug up was old. Sorry about the hazy pic, I'm not an afficionado of digital photography yet. '46, 49 jefferson nickles, 1911 "V" nickle, '54,'35', '11 wheaties, 1895 indian head, 1898 barber dime, and a 1935 merc in very good condition. Also a john deere tie pin of some kind.

Great finds Jeff I would keep hitting that spot hard. You never know what you may find at old churches. Keep up the good work <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
