Had a good day of silver

Went to a old house that used to be a old style corner store. We were just able to do the front yard. Attached are my finds for a 4 hour hunt. I found a 1912 Barber half, a 1935 silver 50 centavo coin, 3 mercs, a war nickel, a 1912 V nickel, a 1908 Indian and 18 wheaties.
My buddy found 3 mercs, 1 war nickel , and 9 wheats. Total silver was 10. Hope the weather holds , still have the backyard to do. :beers:

Congrats on the good finds.... very nice. what did that mexican Coin come in at? Thanks

Mexican coin came in at 9-47, 10-50, it was really screaming in conductive. Hit first in TTF, saw the numbers and wanted to hear it in conductive.

good stuff there....!!!!!!

Thanks ! The previous owner had taken off about 4 inches of top soil and sieved it. I don't know what all he found but he left a lot of old coins. If he took off another inch he would have started to hit the oldies. Everything we are finding here is only about 1 to 2 inches down. I literally did not find any clad .

Ya gotta love that! Last time I had a deal like that was when they re-paved the streets in Wallace, Id. back around '92(?). I didn't have much time as I was working and had to RACE over there after work with a one-way drive of an hour....hunt...race home, etc. Only got in maybe 6hrs there but managed 4 seated dimes and 1 seated half before it got paved...... Hope you can get some more!!!!

Oneguy...back in my single days we used to RACE over to Wallace for something else ! That was about 25 years ago.

Lmao....!!!!! Almost forgot about that. If I remember right I left Idaho in the spring of '84 to go cut timber in Alaska and the butt hutts were open and when I returned in the fall they were all closed so I'm thinking '84-'85ish????? Lots of fun over there.....lol Lux, Luxette, U & I Rooms, and the Oasis.......

Went out today for 4 hrs at the fairgrounds (1905)....used TTF and also conductive. Got 30 coins and a junk ring. Only 1 wheatie....I just can't seem to get into any older stuff yet for whatever reason? Gotta pay my dues I guess.....

Thanks Rolladex...I was really surprised went it came out of the ground...thought it was going to be my 4th Walker until I cleaned it off. Funny thing was the Mexiican silver was about 5 feet away. It was one of those days that make up for all the trashy/claddy days.

Outstanding finds - congrats !

Great hunt! I hope you do as well or better in the back.
