Way to go! It's been awhile since I had a 10 dollar day huntin' clad.
Sounds like it's not taking you long to get familiar with the new modes. Did you try the freq. change to help on the chattering? My T2 seemed to run smoother after the upgrade, but then, I got a new coil also.

There are some places that are electrical, but for the most part its all ground related. Easist way to tell is coil movement. If you chatter while your coil is stationary, its electrical. If is only happens when your coil is moving, its ground related. Goes with a motion discrimate mode and bad ground.
Got more to learn about the T2 but I'm liking this new audio mode.
