would like to know whats the best all around coil for this detector?it has the stock coil.is the bigger coil any better?thank you any feed back will be appreciate.:clapping:------------------bill.

Bill, I have made all of my better finds with the stock 6.5 X 9" coil. Sniper is an excellent coil for trashy sites. It's more a matter of preference and/or hunting site conditions. Good luck !

Ill agree with Dave

the stock and sniper are all ya need
and i usually have the sniper on most
of the time

Good Luck

I like the 9x12 coil, it gives you a little more depth and you can cover more ground.

wheath22....I like the sound of that. Can't wait to try it out this spring !!

Thats a good deal. I was just at Richards backwoods site to check out
his used detectors and saw an ace250 with three coils for $200. I do believe its been
snapped up. He's got some good deals.

The stock coil is just fine. The big coil is for covering large areas and it will get 2-3 inches more in depth. Learn to use the stock coil before you start switching. It will keep you busy for awhile.

I just purchased the big accelerator coil and have used it on my last three hunts.
I walk a straight line with the big coil (easy to see where I have been in the frosty grass) and then I head back to the car and put the stock coil on and retrace my steps. Wanting to know if I have left anything undiscovered. So far I have yet to find a coin (or good sounding target) with my stock coil after first hunting an area with the big one.
I can really cover a large patch of grass with the big coil, the weight isn;t much different from the stock and man, it does give some depth over the stock unit.
Would be happy to trade it for a sniper coil though as most of my coin shooting is done in close-quarters and I can see how the small sniper may fit my needs a bit more.
