Guys go thru metal detectors like girlfriends when they were younger

Metal detectors are like Girlfriends--Wives---Marriages, non are perfect.

If you don't like them, break up with them. then get back together or find a new one.

Some you really love and keep for years then get a divorce and get a new one. Or they die,
of old age and you find a new one.

What's that say for those of us that have more than one at any given time?

With Tesoros you stray somewhat but are still part of the family. You can always come back and
they will still love you.

and soooo on.

Yah I am into fast and shallow! None of that deep, annoying stuff that takes too much time to figure out. It is no worth it! Most great finds have been shallow in my experience...

As the old saying goes "IT CHEAPER TO KEEP 'EM". Once you find a good one that not too complicated, hang onto her:clapping:

Why not have the best of both worlds?? (DETECTORS I mean, not girlfriends/wives) :) -----I go into a place & work it with "X" detector & work it at a somewhat faster pace, recovering the shallow to mid-depth range targets.----THEN I go back in with the "big guns" & deep coin hunt (methodically working more carefully & slower).-----To say there isn't deep targets there just isn't so (in most cases) and I've got the finds to prove it using this procedure over the years.----And yes, it does require more attention & patience but you would be surprised at what is down there in that next "tier" that 90% of detectorists miss.----I sure don't get it all either, but I get "some of it". ;)-----BTW (for what it's worth)--I'm the first to admit that masking problems is even a bigger problem we are faced with than the depth issue.--------------Del

this also pertains to us guys too!..eh!..he!..he!..who can blame 'em if they
think the same way!..actually it's a medical fact, they last longer than us anyway!
best to keep it a "secret!".though!..he!..he!..he!....just sayin!

i agree!..masking IS the issue!..we have had "decent" depth for years now!
trying to "snake" between the trash is "where it's at!"

"generally"..where i am in new england ,most of my "good" stuff
has been at the 4 to 7" level approx...this is a span of over 30 years, and in all soil conditions,so yes!
i would say that "most" of the stuff is approx at that level,at least around here!..some of it,i have found deeper,
but not a lot,and my detector WILL get down there!..i'm talkin' colonial coins, reales, and "bust" silver!..age span
from 1700's to around the 2nd world war.

Hmmm....I detect something Freudian here.

Well, in my humble opinion, detectors, fishing poles, hunting rifles and girlfriends all fall into this category.
"If one is worth having two or more is even better." LOL

Yeah, when I was young, I always tried to keep a goodly supply of guns, fishin poles & girlfriends!!---Ya know, in case something happened to one--you had another one to "fall back" to!-----Sumthin happened though--got me this wife (for YEARS now)---if something ever happened to her, I guess you just as well bury me to.----Guess it's called TRUE LOVE!! --------Del

yes!..quite medieval!...hot damn!
