Guys and Gals, the NOX is for real!

Made my initial foray out with Equinox 800. Great balance, fast response and a pleasure to use. I went to the pounded park, where finds with my previous machines had dwindled to the point that I felt it wasn't worth going back. The NOX proved me wrong! Now, I'm sure there are many detectorists out there who think that retrieving a wheat cent at 8" is no great challenge, but I assure you that in the desert dirt (cant call it "soil"), 8" is deep. Anyway, my finds included three zincs, 2 Jeff nickels, three dimes, and the best of all, a heavy sterling silver ring. This is a pretty small park and I have personally been over almost every inch, several times. And, I'm aware of the fact that many others have hit it, too. I know there is silver (in the form of coins) left there. I'm going to do my best to find them.

This is what I want to hear. We should hear soon how well it does gold hunting. It will live or die by how it does in the field. With just a few quick outings I can tell that its a very good unit, but finds drive reputation.
