I went out yesterday for about 15 minutes (since I am at work) and dug a token about the size of a silver dollar. During my research, I found it is a Whorehouse Token. It said: THE HOG RANCH - GOOD FOR A $2.00 PIECE - FORT LARAMIE, WYOMING. The other side said: ALL NIGHT - $3 - CHECK. Research tells me that this place is on the National register of historic places. From 1876 - 1887 it functioned as a social center for soldiers to spend their pay on cheap beer and hard liquor, cards, and on the 10 or more prostitutes always in residence.
I guess a soldier lost it during battle.
I still have not been beach hunting in over a month.
