Gun tool carved Gardiner & chewed bullets

I got out to a old spot today. We got lucky the field was in between planting so we hit it. It was a Confederate camp on the way in & out of Gettysburg. HH

Wow... one of those chewed bullets looks like a tooth ! CCH

Thanks buddy. I've found a few of them in this camp. I guess hogs got them.

Awesome, a CW bullet is on my bucket list. Congrats.
Well good luck buddy. Once you find one many will follow. Where do you live? One thing for sure is you won't find any where there aren't any lol. The area has to have civil war activity to find relics. Some people find relics out west in areas that never had anything going on but I guess a soldier came home with some of his stuff & lost it. Or threw it out. I live on the fringe of heavy civil war activity. I'm lucky to have access to some really good spots. Keep looking & you'll find your bullet. HH

I live west of Atlanta. There was several battles not far from me and I now have a detector that will go deep enough. I’ll be swinging this weekend.

Good luck buddy. I hope you fill your pouch with relics. Saving history is cool. HH

Good luck Piedmont. CCH

Make sure to post your finds. It's been slow here lately. Good luck again. HH

Hey Piedmont from another Georgia Relic Hunter. What detector did you get?
I just got the F75LTD, can’t wait to try it out. My son and I both bought new machines. Look out relics! Lol PA.

I've hunted with that machine for years. Made a lot of good finds.

I had a F75 camo unit til someone stole it out of my truck one night. I replaced it with a T2se very close to being the same machine. I've done well with it over the years. I had lots of luck with putting a bigger after market coil on it. Like a 15"-12" SEF coil. HH

I have a G2 that I used a lot. It put lots of relics in my collection. I used a 15" nel attack coil on it. I've been using a GPX this year pretty much exclusively though. It's hard to put down. I find stuff in my old spots that the vlf machines can't touch. HH

Piedmont, here's wishing you and your son the best of luck in your relic hunt this weekend. The Fisher F75 is a good detector. I used to have a Fisher 1265 and I enjoyed using it. My buddy uses a T2 and as stated it is a close comparison to the F75. He has done pretty well with it. Be careful out there and go Dig some History.:usaflag::thumbup:
