Huntress and I went for a spin yesterday afternoon, with the Excals, through a 1203P 0.6L (late) and into an 837P 2.1H, with ENE winds at 10-15. Weather was beautiful and we were in the water by 1245P. We were both hunting the shallow mine area, but I ended up heading for deeper water. Huntress is the one with the story to tell. The only reason this even got posted, is because there were rings. Total clad count was $2.93 and lead count was gold worthy, but none came to hand!!!

I ended up with a non-ferrous gold-plated junker w/CZ ring and a .925 ring w/rhinestones. I was thankful for rings of any kind, for possible redemption, as Huntress had already held up the 1 finger sign and the 2 finger sign and I knew I was in T-R-O-U-B-L-E! Took today off to rest, but may give it another spin on monday afternoon. I am operating on about 9 hours sleep the last 48 hours, as teal season began on Sat. morning. Duck and treasure hunting is a full time job, but it sure is fun! Yes we eat them! I cooked up a batch Fri. night on the pit and mom and dad came over for the feed. Hoping for future vindication, but for now licking my wounds from my beating!
