Headphones. I take it they are water Proof. How does the audio compare to your Excal. The blue ones on my Excal suck period. They spin on the flex adjustable shaft and pop out of the snap in holder. Mine is going back to Minelab and I am going to get something done about this very bad headphone set up. I think I am going to tell them just to put the yellow phones on if they are waterproof. I just want to see what they look like. I don't like the Gray ghosts as I have a lot of high freq. loss. I am trying to get a set of waterproof Timber wolfs made for my new Excal 1000. One thing is for sure, these blue pieces of junk are coming off my Excal you can bet on that. Thanks Jerry aka Tinfoil.

Reason I am asking , I already called M/L and talked to Dick and told him I was going to have a set of Timber wolfs made to put on my new Machine as the ones (blue ones) were the worst excuse for head phones I ever saw. If the yellow ones come stock with the newer Excals then I am going to get him to put those on as long as they are better quality then the blue ones. I just hope it don't take long for them to fix my new machine. It is just hard to believe you pay a $1000.00 for something and get head phones of this type of quality. Well as long as they make it right I can't complain to much. Anyway tell Huntress thank you. BTW I used to hunt many a hour over on your beach and have dug some very nice GOLD off those beaches. It was a 2 1/2 hours over and 2 1/2 hours back but was always worth it. Keep digging the GOOD STUFF.

hiya tin i feel your pain i have a excal with those crummy blue headphones crummy shaft just ordered a new lower shaft and a staright shaft set up .............you would think the price you pay for a excal the hardware would be good .....im also losing knobs lol i think until minelab gets some competition we are stuck and will have to mod a very expensive detector ..............by the way did you and im afraid to ask get a quote from minelab to change the headphones thanks and hh jim
