Guess The Date Contest

Well-known member
We were out and about and Larry happen to see a nice yard and there was a for sale sign up. I called the number and talked to the owner and he was very nice. He said we could metal detect it as long as we didn't leave any holes. The house was built in 1867. I found a few misc. items. My second dig was a silver half dollar. Then shortly after that I found the 1963 quarter.

So, with that being said, the contest is to guess the date of the half dollar. Closest one wins a silver quarter. PATH members must be present at the next meeting to qualify. One guess per member. Put your guess in the "subject line". If a tie, first to respond with answer wins. Contest will end Sept. 29th @ 5:00pm.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Nancy

Daryl won with a great guess. It's a 1917-D Walking Liberty Half.

Thanks Nancy for the contest, and thank you for the 1899 Barber Quarter. Congratulations on the beautiful half dollar.

You're very welcome Daryl. The contest was fun. Maybe more will participate next time, IF there is a "next time". You never know :) HH, Nancy

Look at the date! I think you're a few months late on this one! Flinthunter had it nailed........1917.
