I put in a ten hour day detecting today. This cool weather is reminding me that the search for old coins is nearing an end soon, at least for this year. I went to 7 different locations today, and every place gave me at least one coin. I lucked out with three silver dimes, a 1943 V-Nickel, some clad and a 1910 king Edward Large Cent. That aluminum lid in the left hand side reads "WATKINS SHAMPOO JELLY".

My last location got me a Sterling silver ring. Hope the cold weather doesn't last too long. :)

Well then I guess Gti means, get totaly irritated?? No! just kidding!! I ran a little test with the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV and the 1500. I went under the bleachers at the fair grounds with the B.H. and scaned it twice, picking up about $3.00 in change. Then went a grabbed the 1500 and did the same, picking up another $o.62 and a paste broach.
I was suprised as I hunted real carfule with the B.H. and diden't think there would be that much left if any!! I'm getting to like the 1500 more all the time!!

Nice finds John, we don't have much hunting time left for sure do we. Santa will be here soon!! :detecting:

It's been a great year. That 1500 sure is a great machine. The hardest part is learning the machine, but then as you have experienced, that can be fun too! All the best to you with fall hunting Papa Gene!
