I have been thinking of getting a new garrett
detector. I havent had one for a while I have been useing a minelab explorer I like it alot but some times I just want to hunt without alot of adjustments.
Can any one tell me the real deal about the GTP 1350
it looks like a good machine But what is the new sizeing thing really like. any help would be apreciated
Thanks Scott

Hello Scott, I have the new GTP 1350 and I have only used it about 10 times. It took me about two times to get use to the detector. It is easy to use and easy to pinpoint with. The sizing on it isn't as accurate as the GTI detectors but is is handy. Some times it sizes it wrong when the target is very shallow. I found my first barber quarter with the GTP1350 a few weeks ago 1906.
I have found two silver rings with it so far on the beach in the wet sand. When detecting is wet sand on beach you have to turn the sensitivty down. Over all I give this detector a thumbs up.

Hi Scott,
I have had mine for about a month now and truly enjoy it. As Michelle stated, the pinpointing is deadly but the sizing can be off...might be because of the wetsand and mineralization down here on the beach....don't know <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">
I too have found a couple of rings with it yellow and white gold both. one was just beneath the surface and the other was approx 6" deep
Overall I have no complaints. Just my $.02
