GTP 1350 Smooooth operator..........

.............except when in default sensitivity setting!!! I lowered it to " 6 " and it is great. The default is " 9 " and way to high. By lowering it, I noticed right away more sooth operation and much more reliable target ID readings. And it seems that the detector also disc's out the iron better. In the back of my mind ( even though everything was going well) I was concerned that I was losing depth at the lower setting, but all that changed when I dug a silver dime at a measured 7 inches. I dug short of the coin and then pulled it out of the hole when I saw its edge.......... it was at a 45 degree angle!!!!! I am not sorry that I got this detector..........even though I am in the Whites to Garrett transition mode. My buddy's MXT gave a really broken signal over this coin before it was dug......if I heard that signal I would not have dug it ..... but the Garrett did give a faint but very consistent belltone, Garrett wins this round!!

Most Garretts operate better at lower sensitivity. I always recommend 6 or 6.5 on the GTI's and the 1350 and you won't lose any depth. That's an old wives tale that seems to still linger arouind.

Its usually not difficult to set my GTIs sens. according to conditions. Sometimes higher is better and sometimes its not.
