Went for about a 45 minute drive to an old sports field. As I was digging some goodies out in the field, I found an area where people ate, played games and lost jewelry and money, judging from an increase of both good and bad signals.. Of course, there was also a lot of junk, but then again, some of the junk signals turned out to be keepers.

After all the trash was thrown out, this is what I was surprised to find at this site. This took me about 4 hours of hunting to collect. There is still lots of area to search, but its always nice to leave some behind for another time. Kinda like taking a little out of the bank and leaving some for a rainy day.......

Well, I scored 5 silver coins, a 1928 penny and a 1929 nickel, which are very scarce to find.

Here is the jewelry I dug up. That vintage broach was missing some rhinestones when I dug it up, so I raided some of my daughters cheap jewelry and borrowed some cheap rhinestones to replace the missing ones. Came out kinda cool. That other square piece with the dark stone inside looks like an old cuff link, as it has a scored area on the back where some sort of attachment broke off. And of course, I got another ring. There are lots of rings out there....only problem is, you have to dig about $50.00 in change before you get one... :lol
The GTP is just super. It really hits good on silver. That profiling feature goes beyond 6 inches for accuracy on "A" sized objects. I tested that feature several times, and every time it read "B" or "C".....sure enough, a large rusted piece of metal popped up. Also, you notice that a sudden drop of audio when pinpointing is almost always a "A" size object, and a gradual decrease in sound during pinpointing is almost always a large object. These things are good to know, as they they are not in the manual. They are one of those idiosyncrasies that repeat themselves and help make a good decision to dig or not!
