What wonderful wives we have! They let my buddy Scott and myself play for a whole day :) Here is my half of the goodies out of my pack.

Of course underneath all that junk are some better finds. You gotta dig some junk to get the good stuff :( But look at all those nickels......we figured someone salted that little playground with nickels and quarters, so the little kids could find them. Well, a couple of big kids got them. We actually left a bunch behind, as there weren't just enough hours left to get it all.

Well, I'll save the best for last. Got one silver dime, a coin from Ghana, a 1937 Can. Penny (not shown) and a Token?/Tag? for A.G. ALUMINUM LTD.

And.....these are the combined clad less pennies found in that small playground. Can you believe it!

Great post John, that was a lot of fun today. You sure do well with that 1350. Thanks for letting me try the 1500, it sure is a fun machine and man I loved that pinpointing! I forgot to send you this picture..the old lightning rods we saw on the roof of that abandoned building..

Here are the 1500's finds for today...

Great machine!
And thats from a diehard Tesoro user....
:)

Remember this about lightning rods. In the old days when platinum was next to worthless, they made lightning rods out of it, along with dentures, and many other items. It pays to check them out.

Yeah I've got several gold fillings and partials I've found. Years ago when I was field testing Tesoro's Diablo on a river gravel bar I found a gold filling and a gold nugget earring full of nuggets close to each other. I figured someone may have lost one while searching for the other. One of the mysteries of detecting.
