gti1500 over gtp1350

thought my wife was ready to swap her xlt for the Gtp1350 but she now has the idea the 1500 is a better machine (from what I have read they both do the same thing except one gives true depth and imagaineing is this worth 100.00 more) all help will be welcome. Also am I right in saying either one can be sweept slower than her xlt, thanks for any info.:?

Both detectors give accurate depth. The GTP 1350 weighs 4 LBS, the GTI 1500 weighs 4.1 LBS. They each use different technology to size a coin. The GTI uses a non-motion sizing technique with 5 different sizes. The GTP 1350 uses a motion technique (you need to swing the coil back and forth over the target) and has only 3 sizes. Both machines seem to be equal in depth. They are both excellent machines for coin hunting.:yo

John answered part of your question, I'll take on the rest. The GTi's adjust to whatever swing speed employed and can be swept at any speed from nearly non-motion to fast. The little 250 is exceptional in this department. You can't swing it fast enough to miss a target.

Yeah the GTI's automatically adjust to each individual's scanning speed and they automatically adjust to ground conditions as you scan. They are a tough machine to beat.

i had a 1500 and now use a 1350, wish i would have kept the 1500. the 1350 is good, but the 1500 was way better and easier to use.....i dont like the way you have to keep screwing with the profiling button....my $.o2 Mike

Since aside from the fact one has profiling and the other imaging they are the same identical detector, why would one be any easier to use than the other? Just click the profiling off.

Bill

that is the problem, i keep having to turn the profiling off, everytime you pinpoint something, the profiling is turned on again. then you have to turn it off. it does not detect the same to me with profiling on compared to how it detects with it off....
