Thanks Ron.......I may have some relics near here.....It may be good for my searches......good luck hh.....Dan

I have been using one for many years and have done very well with mine. I use the true all metal mode to hunt areas with deep known targets. I use the 12.5" imaging coil to cover large areas faster and get a little more depth. The sniper coil in true all metal mode with the sensitivity cranked up gets awsome depth and works well hunting for relics in the woods, especialy in hard to get into places. Good luck with yours.,...you will notice an increase in good finds as you get profficient with it. The best accuracy you get related to imaging is dependent on how well centered the coil is over the target. how deep on coins depends on ground conditions, size, material and horizontal positioning. It's really difficult to answer that.

Thanks John good info......hh......Dan

Asking the depth on a given mahine is pointless as there are just too many variables, experience, expertise, familiarity with machine, weather, part of the country where you hunt, what you hunt for, soil content, soil conditions, etc., etc. It's a great detector but does have a learning curve and with all metal will go quite deep.

Thanks Bill.......Looks like the AT Pro may be a good choice also......hh......Dan

I really like mine. Have had it for three years. Depth in discriminate mode? It varies with all those things Bill mentioned. Big coil in discriminate mode? 10 inches. Stock coil in discriminate mode? 8 inches. So many variables though. If I was looking today would I buy one? Difficult. Probably. I love imaging. I found it very easy to use when I first got it but I have gotten much better with it. Around 45,000 keepers in 3 years. Coins, relics, jewelry, and on and on. I am waiting to see what Garrett's next high end machine looks like.

Thanks Chris....Thats a lot of finds good luck and hh.......Dan

Yeah you've done well with that imaging. I doubt Garrett will retire that anytime soon. Perhaps improve on it some way.
