GTI 2500 Pro Package Sale Still On. :clapping:

Well, it does everything the ACE 250 does, except sizing. It does basically what the GTP 1350 and GTI 1500 does, including sizing the target. However, where the GTI 2500 rises above the other machines, is where you can utilize a "TRUE" all metal mode. What this surprisingly effective mode does is give you much greater depth. This mode will sound off on "All" metallic objects, and still give a probable (conductivity) target ID. If you think that targets are buried deeper then other metal detectors can reach, keeping in mind that probably over 90% of the targets are in the top 6 inches, then the GTI 2500 should get them out for you.

I personally have taken the GTI 2500 to worked out places, run it in "True All Metal Mode" and found not one or two missed targets, but several, which gave a nice strong solid reading with the cursor pointing at the coin region on the screen. The GTI 2500 is very sensitive to targets in the all metal mode just like the ACE Series. And the GTI 2500 has various coils and some after market coils, sizes and configurations such as "DD", concentric, circular and elliptical. http://www.garrett.com/hobby/techsupport/techsheets/searchcoil.pdf . All the coils (not the detector housing) are water proof and Garrett stands behind it's products.

Now I have tested many detectors on my test garden, and they all respond somewhat the same depth wise, with one make/model having the advantage of gaining an inch or so over another. However, the true all metal mode on the GTI 2500 seems to get a little more depth then all the others. The GTI 2500 also has the ability to be manually ground balanced, to give it some further depth in higher mineralized areas.

So......the machine really helped me in the following types of hunting:

1) Where other detectors have hunted an area for many years. One of the advantages of working these areas is that a lot of the junk targets have been removed, so the sensitivity of the GTI 2500 in true all metal mode really gives a good reading on older targets. If the cursor reads in the coin area on the screen, dig it!

2) Another area where it has produced old coins, musket balls etc. is in areas where the snow has melted, and the grass is still lying flat. Using the GTI 2500 in true all metal mode with the 12.5" Imaging coil allows you to easily pick out targets 7-8 inches + the thickness of the flattened grass which can be several inches thick.

It really is a great machine. Please do some research on it and don't let this one pass you by. You may get some feedback about it being a tad heavy. yes....it is a bit heavier the the GTI 1500, however, the battery pack can be removed to lighten the load. I don't do this myself. I use good body mechanics, common sense techniques and can hunt all day with it.

My CXIII has all the same features, except the true image and depth icon. I just can't bring myself to pay an extra $800 for that feature. Of course the newer coils may go a tad deeper though. Maybe when they bring out the GTI3000 the prices will be in a reachable range for this old man.

It is a great unit, though.

The CX detectors are great units. They are clunks to swing, but then so am I! If it works for you, then stick with it.

They are clunks to swing,

It's all in the wrist, you find the knack after awhile, then the Carpel Tunnel Syndrome sets in.
