GTI 2500 improvements

I love the GTI 2500. Owned several through the years. It's been over 10 years and with the latest
in chip improvements has the GTI gone through any upgrades apart from the "mineral chip" and the
coil? Thanks!

Great unit and using the all metal that ID's is as deep as any. Sorry to say don't need a unit that talks to me and much prefer the GTI1500 which is not as heavy and boxy and did they ever fix the pinpoint button which sticks...

The pinpoint button always sticks on mine, but I've learned to look out for that. It's a minor irritation and I when I send my 2500 in for the mineral chip upgrade, they'll smooth it out for me. I really like my unit, even tho it's a tad heavy.

The GTI series has not gone through any improvements since the mineral chip upgrade a couple/few years ago.
If it ain't broke, why fix it?

My thought is improve, innovate, the sizing feature is very cool. What with the last 11+ years of electronic advancements can we do with this concept?
